The Omaha Rapid Bus Transit project consists of 24 new bus platforms that are state of the art with ticket kiosks, arrival notifications, security system, Wi-Fi, and heated concrete for snow melt in the winter months. Every bus platform has its own electrical service and cellular connection. A part of this project also included vehicle priority system at 9 intersections that allows an oncoming bus to hold the intersection green so it can quickly move riders to their destination.
